Expedition.
It is important that you join a guild with much members, Because for every level in Expedition your guild reaches, you get a bag. More levels - more bags every 14 days.
Actually, this is my main goal. Because it is the best source for resources. Some items below, I published our first victory of Harpy 150. Which was a MAJOR event for us. Look at the 2nd picture, time left... And because you need most of your guildmembers to participate to reach out in Expedition, it is the best tool to create a 'feel-guildmember' feeling. It takes planning, and try to make the best of what players can or cannot do. Here, also the low level players are important. You need them to start the Expedition, let them save some attacks to kill off the last part of a boss, so that you do not loose to much attackpower ( boss is at 2m but you do 60m or more damage...), then the 'middleclass' is going to attack, and your upperclass is alllll the time only saving their attacks for later. As for example now, our upperclass is still not attacking while we are at level 152.
There were times when we just needed on the last day a few attacks of 1 of our high lvl members to get a new high in Expedition. I asked them, and the response was: "why would I do that, it is just 1 more bag." I then explained to them that it was not just 1 more bag, it would be 1 more bag FOR THE WHOLE GUILD. I am happy they understood that immediately and they accepted that on their costs for a few attacks, the whole guild would benefit.
I think, that was the breakpoint. Until then they had been playing as single person, and from there on they started playing as a guildmember. "What I do, benefits the whole guild." And I am happy to announce now, that our top players see Expedition now as a real challenge. How can we get a few levels higher? They are asking for a new try. :-) Which means: NO attacks for all high level players for at least 2 weeks. Save their attacks, let the guild do UPTO 150, just to not throw those bags away, and from then on, also save your attacks for next week.
We now have 1 dedicated player to just kill the Harpies on 150-155-160. Boring yes, but his only job. (no need to say he is 1 of the strongest players, and we would loose to much attackpower against Harpy) But part of the routine to get us higher. Fortunately, he does not mind because he is a big teamplayer. But this is what team-play is about. Wait until it is your turn and then you do your part which other players can not do as well! I am proud of this guild!!
teams and/or heroes
My standard team was in the past: Wolf tank, Rifleman, Lance, BM, Joan.
note: Lance is very important against single bosses. Then came Gilgamesh, so I replaced BM by GIL.
Then came Athena, and I had to replace Lance by Athena.
So upto 140 now (as explained by now I never start attacking at these levels), I would use: Wolf tank, Rifleman, Athena, GIL, Joan.
for levels higher, find out yourself. But today at 152, Ilfrit, I used: Joan tank, Athena, Wolf, GIL, Shaman.
yes, stupid as I am but Wolf is still my main dps. I did on average 180m per attack. I don't mind if you can do better. i hope you can. :-)

Well, in between we did some more tries, ending up at 184. After that, some of us started immediately to pile up attacks again. Until we got the question for trying for a new high. So I was hoping to get 190 next time. To my very big surprise, we reached 199. We had so many support from all guildmembers, I had never expected this.
This was a few weeks ago. Unfortunately the last boss at 200 is that strong that we cannot do an attempt for that any soon. But many thanks to our guild Dog House at server 032 for all the support we got.

I forgot: in August, players asked for a new try. I did not have any confidence in to be able to beat already 200, but ok, we would at least have the 199 bags again. And they wanted to have the bags for the x3 event. To my surprise we got there without our top 2 players, saving their attacks until we were there, and they finished him in no-time. :-)
So, that was once. Because it is not worth the effort again. We have the honor now. We now stop at 199, because also, if you finish 200 again, then everybody looses their daily 3 free attacks for the remaining days.

joan of arc (costs 100 jade)
Lance hunter
any 2 of: blood mage OR wolf OR rifleman OR prince of persia
a support/healer (could be zhuge liang, diao chan, odin, ishtar, shaman, priest, whatever)
As you unlock relics and gems, get lots of gold HP absorption gems from the legendary gem selector bags from battle evolved, and remove the healer for another damage dealer.
With some more jade:
Cheap addition - gilgamesh (raises damage greatly, can replace lance hunter or one damage dealer)
More expensive but helpful: Athena (needs a small handful of stars to make a hugely positive impact, especially helpful against enemy harpy queen), Anub'rake (can do big damage at low stars but generally inconsistent without tier 3 gear and/or zhuge liang at 13+ stars).
Middle or expensive addition: Kasumi, Zhuge Liang (hugely helpful at 13+ stars, less helpful before but does some useful things)
Midgame expedition team for a lot of players will be Joan of Arc, Athena, Lance Hunter, Gilgamesh, and Wolf/Blood Mage. Kasumi or Zhuge Liang or both may also be in play.
Endgame:
Zhuge Liang 13+ (yes this is expensive), Joan of Arc, Gilgamesh for nearly all bosses
Expensive: hamoudy, nergal, Singiffen, Anub'rake - all outperform nonlegendary options at 14+ stars. Very jade expensive. Best of these is singiffen with other support pieces (zhuge liang, kasumi, joan, gilgamesh, athena - changing who sits out depending on bosses), but with few support pieces the other 3 will beat him. They have different positives and negatives I won't explain in detail here (this is a long post already).
Expensive support: kasumi (works best at 13+ stars), athena - needs stars for survival and capstone talents to support, but hugely important.
Against harpy queens most players use Joan of Arc, Gilgamesh, Singiffen/Hamoudy/etc. (Wolf/BM still helpful), Athena, and one of Zhuge Liang/Kasumi.
Vs all other bosses up to aza'thoth at 200, players use no athena and all 5 of the above listed heroes.
Vs aza'thoth players report mixed results with which 2 of athena/kasumi/ZL to use, so further testing will be done later.
