Cryoape

 The key to win is: DO NOT GIVE HIM ANY DEBUFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because he is getting his energy from it. You MUST prevent him getting his energy! That is very important. When his energy is full, he heals for 100%. To prevent him getting debuffs, do not use certain weapons and some heroes. I will give some examples. Examples means: the list is not complete. It is to give you an idea what not to use. Then further down, you can see my team with all details.

Do NOT use the following weapons:

  • The Wand of Merlin    because of the poison attack
  • The Blade of Sparta    because of the bleeding attack
  • Shadowfang                becasue of the attack Open Wound
  • Serpentskin Armor      because of the Attack Crush
Do NOT use the following heroes:
  • Blood Mage                because of the Death Touch, which gives him silence
  • Sobeck                        because of Wrath of Tides, which gives him damp
  • Phantom Assassin       because of Poison Dart. which gives him poison. 
  • Prince of Persia          Jump Chop reduces his magic defense 
You get the picture now? check all your equipment and all your heroes that there is nothing affecting the Cryoape. Only buffs for your own army, except the Goblin Toes. Those you can use, are even strongly recommended.

DO NOT USE ANYTHING AFFECTING THE CRYOAPE! Just only normal done damage, magic as well as non-magic.

 See the following pictures for all details about the team I used. You can click on the pictures to enlarge them. This is not the set-up you need, but maybe it brings you to ideas what you could try to do. Mind especially the ignore-block gems for Jarrott. In this fight you need a lot of luck and it does not help when Jarrotts attacks are blocked. Look for yourself why I use Jarrott, even with his low stats.

In this setting I needed only 6 tries (after the 300 before) to beat Cryoape. But as I said: you need a lot of luck. Eventually, the wolf did 2.6M damage, Oric 1.1M and Jarrott 600K.  Wolf and Oric full tier 3 equipment.

And no, orange rings are not per definition better than purple rings. As you can see, for wolf and Oric I prefer sofar purple rings. (in Orics ring, can change of course the purple gems for better orange ones, but do not have them now, I used everything to pump up wolfs attack)

    you dont HAVE to use 5 heroes. sometimes less is more. wolf, gilga and athena destroyed the ape without any tricks. just brute force.

      Yes, I agree with you now. After many Ruins :-) but we did not have GIL and Athena back then. But thank you for the reply.

Vampire and the Light of Glory

  Due to an Adroid update back then, I lost my account at level 86. No support back then, I had to start over. BUT: I had the advantage that I now knew which heroes I needed: Wolf, Rifleman, BM, Vampire and Shaman. (I am an attack guy instead of defense: When they are down, they do not damage anymore). And the legendary I got, in my case that was Oric. Not a bad guy. Vampire, Wolf and BM share bleeding. That helps. Also: Vampire and Wolf have a bond. (Forget Nightblade, most useless hero of the game. Just level him for the bond, BUT LEVEL HIM) With Vampire, Wolf and BM in the team there is always bleeding. Take that into account. Now, long story short and upto today. The relic Light of Glory. I immediately saw the opportunity in combination with the Vampire. I have no idea about the health of other tanks accept Oric and Bishop, but they cannot reach the health of Vampire. What does the relic do?:  "For 12 seconds after the battle begins, deals x hp damage to ALL enemies PER SE...

My thoughts about relics and gems

Which relic on which hero? Well, first of all: the benefit of the relic only last max 9 seconds. But your battles will normally last much longer, so here it is also important: which gems can I store into them.  Now, what relic to put on which hero depends on the situation. I am not going to name all relics, some I never use. But maybe after this you can decide for yourself whether to use them or not. NB: This is my opinion, you do not have to agree with it. I do not have the globe of wisdom. Usefull addendums are welcome in the comments. 1. Buddhist and Light of Glory (LOG) both can contain 4 stones with primary stats. I give them to my 2 heroes who do the most damage. In casu most of the time Buddhist to Wolf and LOG to Vampire or Athena.  (my Vamp has 520k health, that is 350k damage to all enemies, or 4 int gems for Athena)  2. Statue of Hero

 Always struggling about which team to use in the Statue of Heroes? Here is a team which nearly always works fine: Bishop tank, Athena and Joan, in the back Shaman and Executioner. Again a team where you most probably have all the heroes for. The key hero is here Executioner. It might be that people do not realize his real strength. Read his active: "Target will be killed when his health is under 20%..." That may look low and not interesting,   BUT that is NOT the actual situation. Read now his ring. So, it is already 25%.   And how much is it after 12 seconds?!!  Exactly, then it reads: "Target will be killed when his health is under 49%..."!!! Soooo,  Athena is bringing down all enemies healthes  and at a certain point, Executioner is going to kill them all in no time. You only have to stay alive long enough, that is why you need Bishop, Shaman and Joan. This combination works fine for almost all Statues of Heroes. good luck. 🙂
